  1. Artwork and approach (2500 characters)
    Describe your medium(s), and approach to art making. Talk about how that would relate to an approach for this opportunity. Note: Do not propose a specific  project idea at this time, but simply discuss general ideas on how you would think about this and medium/s you would likely work in.  
  2. Experience creating public art (2500 characters)
    Describe your previous experience creating public art OR if this would be outside your previous experience, describe specifics of the outside experts you would work with. Address your ability to manage large projects, art-related or not.
  3. Engaging community (1000 characters) 
    How has any of your previous artwork engaged community? This could be from passive engagement such as audience viewing, to active engagement such as people directly co-creating the artwork.

Work Samples

Provide 8 work samples of your artistic practice.

File specifications:


Visual and text work 

  • Title each file in the order you wish it to be viewed <number_lastname_firstname>.
  • Visual work: .jpg format at 72 dpi and no more than 1920 pixels on the longest side.
  • Text work: .pdf preferred, 1 page = 1 work sample (ex: 4 page file = 4 work samples).


Video or audio work

  • Provide up to 8 links in the Work Sample list to online source (i.e. YouTube, Vimeo, MySpace, Bandcamp). 1 minute = 1 work sample (ex: 4 minute video = 4 work samples).
